The Douglas Area Food Bank, provides critical nourishment to the elderly and the disabled, to children, and needy families. The food bank increases access to healthy food and teaches nutrition.

Transportation is provided for those in need in forms of checks strictly for gas or gas cards. There are some instances that St. Vincent will find or provide transportation for the person in need as well. These services are performed at all times. There is no time or day restriction on these services. We assist with transportation for interviews for employment in other cities, medical appointments, legal assistance and families needing fuel to visit sick families in hospitals in other communities. We also provide transportation to other states to return friends to their families via bus, train and airline.
